Aislinn .... a celtic name which means a dream or a vision. Representative of the gift that was given to me in December of 2005. A house in need of tremendous love. The land blessed with a spirit of peace. A space to share my passion for spiritual journeying and intuitive healing with others. Most assuredly the location for the center I envisioned opening after my daughters were through college. "After" is the operative word here. As with all forks in the road, mine came a bit too early for my well laid plans. But in truth I had asked for this. I firmly believe that what we ask for in the recesses of our heart always presents itself. Grace happens when we open our hands to accept what is being offered. It is time for me to share with each of you programs to help you to begin or to further your journey. Programs in spiritual subjects, in art, music, meditation, energy work, natural healing. I am bringing to Aislinn some truly amazing people who will open you to new ways of thinking and will encourage you to step out of the box of daily life. For a few hours, for a day, for a weekend. A time to breathe, to remember that we are allowed to try our hand at new things, a time to express thoughts in a safe and caring environment. I promise you that you will feel the embrace of this place and the other attendees immediately. Cross my heart. Understanding how important it is to open these doors to all, I will offer fee based programs as well as lectures and movie nights that will have little or no cost. I will also remember "there but for the grace of God go I". We will sponsor events that will donate a portion of the proceeds to charity. Because we must take care of each other. I will share with you the words of one of my favorite poets, David Whyte. When I read this a few years ago, I felt a thawing of my heart, an understanding I had not known in a long while. May his words touch you as well. Peace, Lisa
"The Opening of Eyes" That day I saw beneath dark clouds the passing light over the water and I heard the voice of the world speak out, I knew then, as I had before life is no passing memory of what has been nor the remaining pages in a great book waiting to be read. It is the opening of eyes long closed. It is the vision of far off things seen for the silence they hold. It is the heart after years of secret conversing speaking out loud in the clear air. It is Moses in the desert fallen to his knees before the lit bush. It is the man throwing away his shoes as if to enter heaven and finding himself astonished, opened at last, fallen in love with solid ground.
